Love’s Loneliness

The sky’s star strings
Struck lightly by waves of light
Struck at my heart strings
As I sing in the lonesome night.

The winds join me and sing
With a voice as angelic as yours
I’m whisked to the Heavens,
By a voice as angelic as yours.

The night fills me with your love
Though my heart begins to break
Your love blinds me in the night
And my heart has gone astray

I lose myself in search for you
But the brightness of the day
Silences the music
And my eyes can’t find their way.
—Brandon Nevado

Twilight

The tears of Twilight are filled with memories of you
From the fun we had, your pretty eyes,
And the aroma of your sweet perfumes.
When I held you in my arms I used to get a warm sensation.
You were of God, a blessed creation,
But through the door that leads me to your heart,
There was no penetration.
You once gave me the key to your broken heart,
but you just tricked me
And shot me with a dart so poisonous
That I cannot cure the feeling of being so torn apart,
And I can’t seem to find myself
because you left me in a million parts.
Now my old self is looking at me through the heaven
that I once thought I found on earth,
Waiting for me to find that missing
piece so it can be reborn.

Music Star

Let the music in you swell
Like a lost star in the dark
Make the wish that will repel
The darkness in your heart.
The morning bells that ring
As the morning sun shines
Cannot light the world
As your music brightens mine.
