Teen Pep, NOH8 club, and Future Meds of America are sponsoring this year’s Third Annual Walk-a-thon, to combat obesity and help students and staff lead a healthier lifestyle. The date for this year’s event is set for May 15, a Wednesday, from three to four.
All students who attend will get a central detention removed, for every trip around the track at the stadium. There is a limit of ten centrals that can be removed. Not only will students get fit, but they will also have the opportunity to remove centrals be taking part in a fun school activity.
Furthermore, there will be free healthy snacks and drinks provided and there will even be a DJ to help participants enjoy the walk. All students and staff are invited to participate in this fun event, to get healthy.
To participate, just show up at three, in the stadium and sign up, then start walking and removing centrals. Enjoy a fun day in the warm sun, walking with friends, getting healthy and serving centrals, all at the same time.
