The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner Book #2) by James Dashner – If you liked The Maze Runner then you must read the second installment of the series, The Scorch Trials. WICKED is back and Phase Two of the trials has been initiated. The Gladers find themselves once again thrown into chaos and forced to fight for their lives; this time with a deadline hanging above their heads. The Gladers are given two weeks to cross through the Scorch—the most burned-out section of the world. The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (Cormoran Strike Book #2) – The second book installment to this brilliant series, The Silkworm follows Detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott into another case where a novelist has gone missing and found days later; brutally murdered under bizarre circumstances. The dead novelist left behind a manuscript for a book that if published, would have spilled many secrets and ruin lives. Due to this, the number of possible suspects is incredibly high, making the puzzle even harder to solve. An outstanding series written by Harry Potter’s J.K Rowling, under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, this book is a good read for those who enjoy crime and mystery.
