After eight years, it has come to an end. President Barack Obama is no longer our current president and is transitioning from presidential to civilian life. The very emotional address was capped by a night that was full of a revival of his 2008 campaign. This night was all about making sure that through his transition we come together – united as a nation.

Some present during the address, felt as if Obama was campaigning again due to the excitement in the convention hall and the crowd’s roar. Rather than showing a dull and lame attitude, he spoke with the passion of a presidential candidate.

Things got emotional once he started to thank his wife, Michelle Obama who he described as his “best friend.”

To another person who had been there for the entire ride, Obama said, “To Joe Biden – the scrappy kid from Scranton who became Delaware’s favorite son – you were the first decision I made as a nominee, and it was the best. Not just because you have been a great Vice President, but because in the bargain, I gained a brother. And we love you and Jill like family, and your friendship has been one of the great joys of our lives.”

Obama ended the night, by recalling his 2007 campaign address and stating that all he said back then was motivation for himself and Americans that made them all realize that it was all validated at the end of his presidency. He asked the crowd to “believe,” to believe in themselves because they are the ones who will change the world.

“Obama, out.”
