On May 24, 2017, the PHS National Honor Society held their annual dinner at Valley Regency marking the Fortieth Annual Induction and Senior Recognition Ceremony. National Honor Society honors the high standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The event started with the NHS President, Adriana Izelo, greeting everyone for attending the annual dinner. Furthermore, the President called up the officers––Catherine Sposato, Dev Patel, Justin Rymut, Arnold Hernandez––to acknowledge the NHS principles.

Calling up NHS members––Jessica Sanchez and Massiel Tavarez––to the front they had the pleasure of introducing the new candidates. This year twelve students from Passaic High School were inducted into National Honor Society at Valley Regency. Congratulations to Jordany Arias, Aleyshka Barbosa, Michelle Bautista, Laisa Fernandez, Brandon Garcia, Idali Gil, Jessica Guizar, Abe Jaramillo, Johana Lastor, Mariana Ovalles, Ashley Peralta, and Dhruvi Rana for being inducted to NHS!

PHS’s Acting Principal, Mrs.Torres-Gomez, stepped up to give her congratulations to the new inductees and overall the NHS members and advisors for the annual dinner that was held.

After the high school’s piano and violin musicians played while eating dinner, the ceremony continued. NHS members, Arleth Cespedes and Diana Tiburcio, were called up in front of the room to commend the seniors for their achievements.

Congratulations to the senior class––Jessica Ariza, Dionisy Caceres, Lesley Camilo, Justin Cancel, Kevin Gutierrez, Arnold Hernandez, Adriana Izelo, Nazier Navarro, Luis Ortega, Dev Patel, Darshak Rana, Devanshi Rana, Justin Rymut, and Catherine Sposato––for coming to closure with their high school career and initiating a new chapter in their life.

After the Senior Class of NHS thanked their individuals who helped in their academic journey, the President came up again. Miss Adriana Izelo gave her address as President and assured on thanking everyone who assisted in her accomplishments thus far.

In essence, NHS Co-Advisers, Mr. Theodore Graham and Caitlin Ament, gave their remarks as the dinner concluded. As the night ended, everyone left the reception with overwhelming emotions as the NHS members were acknowledged for their achievements thus far.
