Passaic High School hosted their first concert of the year involving the strings, choir and band on December 14, 2017. Musicians of our school and community shared their talent throughout the night performing various compositions of songs.

Teachers Mr. Rusca, Ms. Gauthier, Ms. Ruscewicz and Ms. Godovanik lead the students in preparing and executing a fantastic performance.
The orchestra played songs such as “Inverno” by Antonio Vivaldi and “Ding Dong Merrily On High” by Vince Gassi.

Junior, Aleyshka Barbosa, who attended the concert, described it as “joyful” and “delightful.”

A heartfelt moment occurred when the choir brought back graduates of Passaic High School to sing along to a couple of songs during the night.

The band closed the night by opening up the concert with a performance by the marching band. Although not very common to have the marching band perform at the winter concerts, it made it an even more spectacular night for the band and everyone who came out to support. The band performed songs such as “First Noel,” “Sleigh Ride,” and “Carol the Bells” as well as their nationally acclaimed performance from this fall.

Overall, the winter concert was a night to remember and many more should consider attending the next concert at Passaic High School this upcoming spring!
