An event that hasn’t happened for the past three years, was finally made possible due to the strong efforts of the Junior Class Council and graduating class of 2019. The money received from the Valentine’s Day Gram, the Talent Show, and staff dress downs all went into funding the event, which itself will provide funding for next year’s prom.
Junior Night Out began at 6 p.m. at The Royal Manor in Garfield. Those who attended enjoyed a full-course meal prior to the start of dancing. The lights were dimmed and the DJ began to play the music louder. A small group of people began the hype for the night. As the night progressed, those who attended let loose and had fun with their classmates. From free-style to cumbia dancing there were always fun moments.
With delectable food and the company of our friends the event was certainly worth attending. The service was great, with waiters who were kind and attentive. There were an abundant amount of festivities.
The night ended with a game of hot potato played individually at each table. It’s a fun interactive game where a red napkin was passed around from person to person. When the music stopped the last person with the napkin loses. Each winner would have had the chance to win some form of luxury for prom 2019, with a choice of a hairstylist, pedicure, or manicure for the top winners. It was a night to remember and those who attended truly felt like royalty.
