Brady Helps a New Team Win the Superbowl

By Bruno Recoba

Superbowl LV (that is 55 for those of you that are not up on the Roman numerals), was played at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, where the weather was much better than in New Jersey.
It seems the lock downs have made many people want to get to something “normal” that we can all do together, like watching a football game. 96.4 million people watched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ beat the Kansas City Chiefs (sorry Chiefs fans). The game was not even close, 31-9.

This was the most watched game since 2015 and it changed the trend of declining views of the Superbowl. In fact, this year’s game was up 65 percent from last year for streaming views.
Many people watched the game from all over the country but there was a high percentage of viewers in the Boston area, which make sense, because that is where Tom Brady played for the New England Patriots for years. He won six Superbowl rings for himself there, and led the Patriots to six championships. This year makes his seventh, which is a record.

Tom Brady was selected as the MVP (most valuable player) and he thanked his teammates from the postgame podium. He said, “I’m so proud of all these guys out here, everything we dealt with all year.”
Brady also said that fans should expect to see them next year too. With so many rings on his fingers, that is not just a boast, but really the statement from the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady.

The game itself was won on two fronts. Tom Brady was able to pass for two touchdowns in the first half, completing 21 of 29 passes, which was enough to win the game before the second half was played. The other part of the game was the incredible defense of the Buccaneer’s Todd Bowles defensive coordinator was so good that the Chiefs’ offense never got a shot to score. The game was controlled and dominated by the offense and defense of the Buccaneers.

With the football season over, the next games to watch are Basketball, so keep a watch for articles for our favorite teams here.
