Soccer is one of Passaic’s best programs with the team improving tremendously every year and making history every single year. The team made history this year by making it to the state sectional tournament semifinal for the first time ever in the school’s history. Passaic also won the conference/league title for the first time ever in the school’s history.

You could see massive improvement when it started in the 17/18 season. That year, there was a massive change to the program because a brand new coach was introduced. Coach Marc Pollaro changed the program and implemented his new style of coaching. It proved to work because he hasn’t had a negative record since his first year.

Coach P had already been assistant coach for Passaic soccer. He was there when Coach Vincent Fazio was head coach. Coach Fazio had retired after the 16/17 season. Coach Pollaro stepped up as head coach. He kept the same intensity as a coach. Fazio was known for all the excruciating running he’d make the team do in preseason. Coach Pollaro introduced new running drills that kept that same intensity to ensure the entire team would be in shape for the season.
