Being a high school senior is one of the best moments of your life, if we listen to the adults. As students we wait until the point when we are finally seniors. But we get here and just try to figure out what the next part of our life will be. It can be challenging and stressful deciding what to do after PHS. Do we go to college?
There are some summer college programs available that might make the decision easier, to see if the college route is right for you and you can pick up some credits this summer to get started:
Wagner Pre-College program
Wagner College offers a pre-college program that helps you improve leadership and handle some real problems. It also adds you college credits, you can explore your interests and you get to know how college life is.
Brown Pre-College program
Brown University Also offers a Pre-college program that has a lot to offer, with over 300 programs to choose from starting with Environmental studies, Medicine, Leadership and Law, Psychology, Mathematics, Creative writing, history and so much more.
Harvard Pre-College program
Harvard University offers a pre-college program which comes up to $5,300 + $75 (application fee). Offers programs of psychology, Medicine, public health, Law, politics, philosophy, history, business, Leadership, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math and more. This program is only two weeks and can be helpful in your college application if you wish to apply to Harvard.
There are more programs out there, but from these we seniors can learn that there is opportunities awaiting our decisions. It is still stressful getting to this point, but also exciting. Think about what you like and go for it!
Remember, you can always talk to your guidance counselor or a teacher. That is what they are there for!
