The Jets and the Giants have been switching stadiums for quite a while now. The Jets have been travelling between stadiums for a long time and have yet to find a stadium to call their own. But the Giants have had their old stadium. It was called the Giants Stadium and that was the home of the Giants until it changed. However, the Jets have been moving between several stadiums, and have been going back and forth between them.

As Giants Stadium approached 30 years old, it was becoming one of the older stadiums in the NFL. The stadium was so old that when they hosted the Super Bowl it became obvious that they needed a fix. People began to question the safety of fans going to such an old venue. That’s when the Metlife Stadium started getting built and was able to hold 85,000, which is a lot of people.

The Jets’ home field has been located at four different stadiums during the franchise’s 62-year history – isolated games and short-term temporary home fields are not necessarily included. The first stadium it played in was Polo Grounds IV and that was in 1960-1963. The second stadium they played in was Shea, from 1964 to 1983. The third stadium the Jets played in was Giants Stadium from 1984 to 2009. Now the stadium that they play in, to this day, is the Metlife Stadium, and it could not have come too soon.

Now all the teams and their fans are happy. The Jets and the Giants now play in the same stadium again, a home field for the local teams of New York and New Jersey. They just switch endzones every game when they play, to make it fair.

I feel like they are doing good so far and there is no problem. The stadium holds 87,000 plus and it’s great. Both sides have their own locker rooms and both sides look happy.
